The Way Social Media Changes Our Lives
Social Media has taken over our lives in the last 5-10 years. Now, everyone is obsessed with posting selfies, posting pictures of their food, and the way they look to those soon to be followers. You can't lie that you check your Facebook feed at least five times a day because you have nothing better to do and you want to know what is happening with all of your friends and family. I even have to admit that I have Facebook and Twitter open as I am writing this, just so when I lose focus I check that and see what is happening. We have to see where everyone checks in and what every one posts pictures about and who it is they're with; but honestly most of the time we just get bored and that it's a force of habit for us to look at it and we honestly can't break it.
Business Opportunities brings up the idea that breaking news will actually come out on Twitter before it will on cable TV. More people will go to Twitter and Facebook for the news now instead of the TV where everyone got their information 10 years ago. Most people will wake up and check their feeds to see what happened in the world and what all they missed in the last twelve hours. Some day we will all have to admit that we are addicted to our social media and that there is nothing that they can really do honestly.
Phys Org points out that sense most of the people that vote, look stuff up on their social media, so all of the presidential candidates all have a Twitter account to get in touch with the voters to help get them into office.
